The living fossils series is one of my earliest projects, begun in 2007, and still technically unfinished. My original plan was to illustrate 8 living fossil species in watercolor and a further 4 in acrylic, all to be custom framed in wood frames with inlay showing their nearest fossil relative. Since I know nothing about woodworking, perhaps it's no surprise that this project remains incomplete. But, several of these remain favorites of mine, even after all this time.
