When Northern Woodlands asked for an illustrated article about spiderwebs, I wanted a way to emphasize the brilliance and tenuousness of webbing. I repurposed a kids' activity making homemade scratch paint to come up with my first illustrations. Later, the dewey webs series plus webs with spiders were part of a show at Studio Place Arts in summer 2023. DIY scratch paint on yuppo, various sizes.
